And what we love the most about this time of year is hitting the road with friends and family and seeing what Victoria has to offer. So, where are the best places to go on a road trip in Victoria this spring? We’ve put together this list so you don’t have to go trawling hundreds of articles (and wasted kms) trying to find out for yourself. Happy driving!
Daylesford
No spring road trip list is complete without mention of Daylesford. Victoria’s ‘spa country’ is famous for its 141 mineral springs dotted around the area. Now the place to go for relaxation and spa treatments, it’s also good in spring if you want to explore bush walks, stunning views and long lunches by the lake.
Why not jump in your Suzuki Ignis, hit the road and put on your favourite road trip tunes? Known for being an ultra-compact SUV, the Ignis doesn’t look huge, but inside it offers a spacious, insanely comfortable, tech-loaded interior perfect for families, couples and groups of spa-loving friends.
Port Fairy
About five hours away from Melbourne, you’ll find the quaintly-named Port Fairy, passing the Twelve Apostles on the way (there are only eight now though). Port Fairy is a great spot for a little weekend away; boasting amazing food and spring scenery. If you’re lucky, you can often spot seals, whales and dolphins from the shore.
Bright
Bright by name and bright by nature, this picturesque town is a great spring road trip destination for those who love leafy walks, peaceful bike rides, serene kayaking and delectable local produce. Located at the base of the Victorian Alps, Bright is around a four-hour drive from Melbourne. So, grab a bunch of mates, hop in your Suzuki and let the fun begin.

If you haven’t been camping at Wilson’s Prom yet, you’re missing out. One of our personal favourite spring road trip destinations, Wilson’s Prom really does have it all. There are beaches, granite mountains, bushwalks and plenty of native wildlife to spot.
